Final Fantasy 16 producer wants Xbox launch, but can't say when it'll happen

Square Enix producer Naoki Yoshida has said he wants to launch Final Fantasy 16 on Xbox at some point.

But when will Xbox fans finally see the game arrive? On that, Yoshida was less forthcoming.

“Of course we did announce the PC version of the game, so looking towards the Xbox version, we do want to release it on Xbox,” Yoshida told Sports Illustrated’s Video Games site.

“But when it comes to the specifics such as when the game would be available and such, we are not in a position to be able to share anything. Nintendo Direct presentation announced

A new Nintendo Direct broadcast will air tomorrow, Tuesday 27th August, at 3pm UK time.

For those across the pond, that’s 7am Pacific, or 10am Eastern.

Lasting roughly 40 minutes, the show will feature upcoming games and announcements for Nintendo Switch, from both major third-party developers as well as indie studios. Just don’t expect any news on Nintendo’s own games – such as the upcoming Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom – or Switch 2.

In a post on X this afternoon, Nintendo also gave it’s now-familiar statement that it would not be revealing any new in…

Silent Hill 2 Remake's first 90 minutes are online a month before its official release

Can’t wait until 8th October to revisit Silent Hill? Here’s a free visit to everyone’s special place courtesy of a Japanese content creator who has streamed the first 90 minutes of Silent Hill 2 Remake to YouTube.
The hugely popular 兄者弟者 (Siblings) YouTube channel has seemingly shared the footage by official sanction from Konami, which suggests this shouldn’t get struck or pulled down by a pesky copyright notice. Which is just as well, as the video’s only been out a few days, and it’s already clocked up over half a million views.
Consider this your warning to read no further and be aware of video clips online if you’re looking to avoid spoilers altogether ahead of release.
