World of Warcraft boss: "I think we should have listened more to the player base"

World of Warcraft boss Holly Longdale says Blizzard has learned from its controversial Shadowlands launch, acknowledging the expansion “wasn’t enough” and “wasn’t the right stuff”, admitting the team should have “listened more” to its community.
Talking to PC Gamer, Longdale reflected back over World of Warcraft’s storied 20 years, partly as a player, and “as a very humble and lucky leader on this team”.

Silent Hill 2 Remake Wikipedia page locked after salty fans try to rewrite its critically-acclaimed reception

Wikipedia has had to lock down the Silent Hill 2 Remake page after repeated vandalism from editors who refuse to accept that the remake of Konami’s seminal horror game released to critical acclaim earlier this week.
Outright lies around the games reception and metacritic score – including one edit that said the game had “received the worst reviews imaginable” – means the page has now been put into a semi-protected state to stop unregistered users from making wild, unsubstantiated claims, including one that said Eurogamer had awarded it 0/5 stars when, in fact, it got top marks.

Acclaimed plague horror Pathologic is getting a third instalment, this time with time travel

Pathologic, the acclaimed plague-themed horror series from developer Ice-Pick Lodge, is returning for a third instalment, this time slinging time travel into its gruelling, emotionally draining mix of intentionally dispiriting survival and haunting theatrics.

Poppy Playtime's second and third chapters will arrive on Xbox later this month

The second and third chapters of cult horror game Poppy Playtime will arrive on Xbox later this month, ahead of other consoles.
The first chapter was released on Xbox back in July and now the story will continue on 20th September. The new chapters will be available to pre-order just beforehand from 13th September.
Chapter Two: Fly in a Web will cost £8.39 and Chapter Three: Deep Sleep will cost £12.49. Both will be available in nine different languages.
